Swetha Vissapragada (she/her), is a New York City-based singer, actor, and dancer. Originally from a small beach town outside of Boston, she recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pace University’s BFA Musical Theatre Program.
As the daughter of Indian immigrants, Swetha was first introduced to the magic of performance through her family. Between family Bollywood movie nights and her father’s oldies playlist, a career in performance was always a given.
As a South Asian artist, Swetha is passionate about applying her culture to her craft. Most recently, Swetha starred as Aarti in the industry presentation of Sati: Goddess Incarnate. In addition to performing, Swetha drafted an adaptation of William Inge’s, Bus Stop, set during the 1947 Partition of India and Pakistan for her Pforzheimer Honors College Thesis.
Offstage, you can find Swetha with her family or a big bowl of strawberries! She enjoys pilates, reading, and the beach.
Thanks for visiting her site, have the best day!
